Mourning
A Five-Week Online Grief Processing Group

Joan Didion writes in The Year of Magical Thinking, “Until now I had been able only to grieve, not mourn. Grief was passive. Grief happened. Mourning, the act of dealing with grief, required attention.”

This five-week online group will gently walk through the grief we hold, the love within, and how forgiveness might have a role to play in living more peacefully with loss.

Group Starts: Friday, November 7th
When: 1 PM - 2:30 PM
Where: Online
Dates: 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5 and 12/12
Group Leader: Katie Stockman

Katie Stockman has been expertly leading grief groups for many years. She, like so many, navigates the world living with grief.

This group is best for individuals who are a year or more out from their loss, who are able to talk about grief and its impact, and who want to find a path forward that allows for the pain of loss while also fully participating in life.

Each session will include some learning about grief as well as discussions, guided mediations, and writing prompts.

The group is grounded in research on grief and integrates multiple traditional modalities for supporting those who are grieving. It will also include elements of Mindful Self-Compassion.
